A Long-Term Relationship Between Client and Architect

This project reflects a long and trusted relationship between client and architect. We have worked on this North London property for over 15 years. During that time, we were commissioned at different stages, each with a new brief and new design challenges.

Over the years, we have carried out both architectural interventions and interior design. These works included redesigning all the bathrooms and completing a large loft conversion. In addition, we redesigned the master bedroom with a walk-in closet. The project also covered the interior design of the library and TV room, the reception and dining areas, and the redesign of the façade treatment with a new entrance porch.

More recently, our clients asked us to design a rear extension. The goal was to enlarge the family room and breakfast area. To achieve this, we installed angled sliding doors with minimal frames. This solution maximised light and connected the house with the landscaped garden. As a result, the glazed doors now open wide, making the terrace feel like part of the social space.

A new openable skylight was also introduced. This feature ensures the kitchen—kept in its original location—still receives generous natural light. Therefore, the rear extension enhances both function and atmosphere without compromising the existing layout.
