Art Deco House Renovation in Putney Heath

Our clients bought this 1930s Art Deco house in Putney Heath, originally part of a larger villa. A previous owner had added a porch that didn’t match the house, along with other unsympathetic changes to the internal spaces, all of which we reconfigured for a young family.

The house was completely redesigned in its original Art Deco style, which also set the direction for the interior design scheme we delivered. The refurbishment was comprehensive: a new entrance porch in keeping with the period, a new kitchen, new bathrooms, a side extension, new rooflights bringing daylight into the reconfigured spaces, a new family room and new flooring throughout, together with bespoke joinery, doors and wardrobes. Behind the scenes, the house was fully re-serviced, rewiring, new plumbing with a pressurised system, a new heating system and a new lighting design. Outside, we redesigned the front driveway and rear garden with new hard landscaping and an outdoor kitchen, and modified the boundary walls and gates.
