Schneider Designers is a boutique practice of architects in North London, working from our Hampstead studio since 1990. Most of our clients are across Hampstead, Highgate, Belsize Park and the wider area — for an extension, a full renovation, a new build, or the interiors that finish it off. Three decades in North London has taught us its conservation areas, its planning officers, and the quirks of its Victorian and Edwardian houses. That local knowledge shapes how we design: homes built around natural light, honest materials, and how people actually live in them.
A Hampstead studio, three decades of homes
We are based at Eldon Grove in Hampstead, NW3, and much of our work is within a short distance of the studio — Golders Green, Belsize Park, Swiss Cottage, Highgate and Camden — alongside projects across central and west London and internationally, from Lima to Madrid. Working close to home means we know the local conservation areas, planning authorities and building typologies of North West London intimately, from Victorian and Edwardian terraces to post-war houses and new builds in sensitive settings.

Our Golders Hill Park house — a new build we designed in 2006 and returned to upgrade with sustainable systems — sits minutes from the studio. Further afield in North London, we’ve also worked in Primrose Hill, Highgate and East Finchley, each project shaped by the same local knowledge of conservation areas and period buildings.
